Budget hotel chain Easyhotel is gearing up to add its first property in the Welsh capital Cardiff.

The 120-room Easyhotel Cardiff City Centre is situated on Fitzalan Place, around half a mile walk from Cardiff Queen Street railway station.

The property offers double, twin and accessible rooms, although note that some rooms do not have windows. Facilities include air conditioning / heating, an ensuite shower room with hair and body wash amenities, bedside USB charging points, and wifi (at an extra cost).

When Business Traveller checked this week rooms were available from £24.99 (for both window and non-window categories) for stays from March 15 – this rate includes a 10 per cent discount when customers join the group’s free “Clubbedzzz” programme here.

Easyhotel currently has 13 owned and 27 franchised properties across the UK, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UAE.

Last summer the group announced plans for a 180-room hotel located close to the Portes de Paris business park, one of two properties currently under development in the French capital.

Commenting on the news Neil Fidler, digital marketing manager at Easyhotel said:

“It is absolutely thrilling to be opening our first ever hotel in Wales in this brilliant, vibrant, culture-rich city. Wales is famous for some of the best things in life and has so much to offer, from nail biting rugby matches to world renowned singers, great food and the famous red dragon. We can’t wait to start welcoming guests.”
