Jet 2 has opened sales for its summer 2022 flight programme, the earliest the carrier has ever released sales for the following year’s summer period.
The UK’s third largest scheduled airline has opened sales across 339 routes from its ten UK bases, and says that further announcements will be made “in the coming weeks”.
Jet 2 recently added a new base at Bristol, and the carrier will offer three new destinations from the airport in summer 2022, to Alicante, Bodrum and Dubrovnik. There will also be three new Greek destinations from Edinburgh to Skiathos, Santorini and Preveza.
The full list of destinations by base can be seen below, and the carrier said that the move to release routes this early “demonstrates our confidence and underlines our long-term strategy to become the UK’s leading leisure travel business”.
Of course nothing is certain in aviation, particularly in these times – in November the carrier was forced to suspend all flights and holidays departing England, as a result of government restrictions on travel.
Commenting on the news Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said:
“After much uncertainty, the positive news about a vaccine coupled with a real desire to get away, means we are seeing strong demand from holidaymakers wanting to plan and book future holidays.
“As always, we respond to what our customers and independent travel agency partners are telling us, so we have put Summer 22 on sale from all ten of our UK bases, meaning we’re on sale with our summer programme earlier than ever before.
“With a host of sunshine favourites on sale, the scale of our programme means there is plenty of choice and flexibility for customers and independent travel agents to choose from with our award-winning airline and tour operator.
“With more good news around the corner, we’re sure that our Summer 22 programme will be a huge hit with local holidaymakers looking to secure a much-needed holiday and give themselves something to look forward to.”
