Spicejet has announced the launch of 30 new domestic flights including six new flights from Darbhanga in Bihar. The new services will commence in a phased manner from December 20, 2020.
The low-cost carrier will launch flights connecting Darbhanga with Ahmedabad, Pune, and Hyderabad. While the flights on Ahmedabad-Darbhanga will operate daily, flights on Pune-Darbhanga and Hyderabad-Darbhanga will operate on all days except Saturdays.
Darbhanga is the airline’s 13th Udan destination.
Spicejet has also launched new flights between Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam; Chennai and Shirdi, Kolkata and Goa; Ahmedabad and Gwalior and Kolkata and Port Blair.
The airline will also augment its operations by adding second frequencies on the Hyderabad-Goa, Bengaluru-Shirdi, Chennai-Guwahati, Mumbai-Goa, Ahmedabad-Goa, and Mumbai-Kandla sectors besides Mumbai-Guwahati and Guwahati-Kolkata.
The airline will deploy a mix of its Boeing 737 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft on these sectors.
The airline will operate five flights a week between Kolkata and Goa, four flights a week between Bengaluru and Shirdi and Chennai and Guwahati, three flights a week between Mumbai and Kandla, Chennai and Shirdi and Ahmedabad and Gwalior. Flights between Kolkata and Port Blair will be operational on Mondays and Wednesdays.
