Accor has partnered with Kievskaya Ploshchad Group of Companies to open the first Raffles hotel in Russia in 2022, located in Moscow.

The hotel will be situated close to the Kremlin, at the intersection of the city park Zaryadye, Varvarka Street and Slavyanskaya Square, with views of the Red Square and the Cathedral of Vasily the Blessed.

Raffles Moscow will include 153 rooms and suites over nine floors, all with views of the city, with four rooms providing exclusive access to the outdoor terrace of the hotel’s courtyard.

The design of Raffles Moscow has been developed by British studio Winch and Accor’s luxury design team, and will preserve the historical character of surrounding facades. Features will include a grand entrance through a historical arch, and a unique mosaic outdoor courtyard. The developers are also ensuring that the section of the building adjacent to the ancient Kitaygorodskaya Wall is carefully curated.

Wellness facilities will include a spa with a Russian bath and thermal zones, a fitness centre with a 25-metre swimming pool, and beauty salon services. There will also be a spacious events centre, with a 730 sqm ballroom, four meeting rooms between 47-83 sqm and an outdoor space.

The hotel will boast five fine dining venues, including three signature chef restaurants and a branch of the French luxury bakery Ladurée, led by famous Russian restaurateur Alexander Rappoport. The hotel will also have an outpost of the iconic Raffles Long Bar in homage to the first Raffles hotel in Singapore, home to the renowned Singapore Sling cocktail.
