Iberostar has launched a complimentary service to “offer extra peace of mind” to its guests whose stay might be disrupted by Covid-19.

The ‘Travel at Ease’ service includes free-of-charge PCR tests for guests with symptoms, and a promise to extend the stay for those with positive cases and their families at no extra cost.

If the guest is travelling alone with children, the hotel group will also offer a solidarity rate to another adult to accompany the family. 

Guests will also receive constant medical monitoring, contactless room service, and in-room entertainment and games during the quarantine period. The hotel group is also offering full refunds in the case of an early departure.

The measures were first introduced in hotels in America and have since been extended to Europe and North Africa for stays until August 2021. This applies to all reservations, including those made through trusted partners such as tour operators and travel agencies.

After the presentation of ExtraCare – a travel insurance with medical coverage exclusively for reservations through our own channels, such as our website or the direct sales platform for travel agencies (Iberostar PRO) – we are now happy to announce the launch of Travel at Ease which offers our partners extra peace of mind.”

Iberostar introduced a range of health and safety measures earlier this year to prevent the spread of pandemic. The hotel group is also tackling climate change, through its Wave of Change programme, committing to carbon neutrality by 2030.
