Luxury brand Bulgari Hotels and Resorts plans to open a hotel in Miami Beach in 2024, marking its first property in the United States.

The Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach will be located at 100 21st street on South Beach’s Ocean Drive, within walking distance of the city’s art deco district.

The building was originally designed by Miami-based architect Albert Anis in the late 1950s, forming part of the Miami Modern architecture movement, and was a well-known base for Hollywood events and parties.

The forthcoming hotel will be designed by Milanese architectural firm Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, and will feature 100 rooms, mostly in suite-form. Facilities will include an outdoor swimming pool, a large spa and fitness centre, and a Bulgari restaurant and bar led by Michelin-starred Italian chef Niko Romito.

Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bulgari, commented:

“We are particularly proud to have secured such an extraordinary location for the new Bulgari Hotel in Miami Beach. This will be our first property in the United States which is a key market for our Brand and we are delighted to add the vibrant and glamorous Miami Beach to our Collection.

“We are convinced that the Bulgari Hotel Miami Beach, to be opened in 2024, will represent an irresistible Roman Jeweler Hospitality, a unique ultra luxury experience in the American upscale hotel market.”

Bulgari Hotels and Resorts was launched in 2001 as a joint venture between the luxury Italian brand and hotel group Marriott International. The brand currently has 11 properties, including hotels in Milan, London, Dubai, Shanghai, Beijing and Bali.

The group is undergoing a period of expansion, with properties to follow in Paris in 2021, Moscow and Rome in 2022, and Tokyo in 2023.
