Ukraine International Airlines is expanding its presence in the UK, launching flights between Kyiv International and London Heathrow from December 17. The airline already serves the capital with a three-times weekly service to London Gatwick.

The airline plans to operate three-times weekly flights to Heathrow on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Flights to London Gatwick will continue to take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Flight PS117 will operate from Kyiv (KBP) at 0950 and arrive in London Heathrow (LHR) Terminal 2 at 1125. The return leg (PS118) will depart LHR at 1220, arriving in KBP at 1740.

Passengers will be able to connect via Kyiv to international destinations including Dubai, Tel Aviv, Tbilisi and Baku, as well as locations within Ukraine such as Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odessa, Lviv, Mykolaiv, and Kherson.

The Heathrow-Kyiv route was served by British Airways until October last year, when the carrier dropped the service stating that it was “no longer commercially viable”.
