Emirates is rolling out what it is calling a “redesigned onboard experience”, as it continues to adjust inflight service in the light of Covid-19.
The first class showers on the carrier’s A380 aircraft have reopened, with customers now being provided with individual amenity bags including products by sustainable Irish brand Voya, a disposable bath towel, and a menu from which they can choose additional amenities.
Onboard lounges have also reopened on Emirates’ A380 and B777 aircraft – on the superjumbo the lounge has been repositioned as a take-away bar with limited seating and social distancing in place, and the social areas in first class on the carrier’s B777s (as well as in business class on selected aircraft) now offer pre-packed snacks to be taken away.

From the start of November Emirates will also resume its “signature dining experience” – this includes multi-course meals in all classes, cocktails in premium classes, a choice of two wines in economy, six (including port and champagne) in business, and 11 (including a dessert wine, port and Dom Perignon champagne) in first class.
Customers can now view menus on the Emirates app, in both online and offline mode.
A new Vitality Boost welcome drink is also set to be added in business and first class, launching with an apple, ginger and hibiscus mix, and set to be refreshed periodically with different flavours.
Back in May when Emirates began resuming flights following the onset of Covid-19, the carrier unveiled a series of new health and safety measures including complimentary travel hygiene kits for all passengers.
