The Apple event held on October 12 “Hi, Speed” began with the launch of its latest entrant in the smart speakers category, the smaller HomePod.
Details of HomePod Mini:
- The HomePod mini has the S5 processor designed by Apple.
- It features computational audio technology to optimise the sound for your room. It supports supports Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and third-party services such as iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and Amazon Music.
- Two HomePod mini devices in the same room can “intelligently become a stereo pair”. Siri is pegged as a big part of the HomePod mini experience.
- The Intercom feature allows HomePod owners to leverage their smart speakers — and other Apple devices — to interact with all family members at once.
The iPhone 12 series was launched there after — this includes iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and a smaller version called iPhone 12 Mini.

The HomePod Mini will be available in India November 16 onwards and is priced at ₹9,900.
The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max will be available starting October 30 in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB models in graphite, silver, gold, and pacific blue starting at ₹1,19,900 and ₹1,29,900, respectively.
iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini will be available in 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB models in blue, green, black, white, and Product (Red), starting at ₹79,900 and ₹69,900, respectively.
