Hyatt has opened its first property in Malta.

Located in the seaside town of St Julian’s, the 151-room Hyatt Regency Hotel is within walking distance of the beach and less than 20 minutes from Malta’s international airport. The hotel’s 151 rooms include 11 suites and one ambassador suite, all of which have views of the sea or Saint Rita Square.

The hotel marks the 26th Hyatt Regency hotel in Europe, a brand which the group describes as “designed for productivity and stress-free stays”. As such, the hotel offers wireless high-speed wifi and 479 square metres of flexible event space capable of accommodating up to 200 guests.

The hotel has three food and beverage outlets which include Mediterranean cuisine at Seed, snacks and drinks at rooftop bar GIN-ger, and coffee at lobby café Thyme. Health and fitness facilities include a Hyatt StayFit gym and a spa with three treatment rooms.

Mark Vella, hotel manager at Hyatt Regency Malta, commented on the news:

“We are thrilled to announce the opening of the first Hyatt-branded property in Malta, an archipelago rich in historic architecture and quickly becoming one of the most sought-after destinations for business and leisure travel.

“Hyatt Regency Malta provides both leisure and business travellers with energising experiences, all while maintaining the high standards of the responsible and empathetic service for which the Hyatt Regency brand is known.”

Hyatt opened its first dual-branded property in mainland Europe close to Paris, as well as a Grand Hyatt property in Nashville this month.
