Aadhaar card, considered as one of the vital documents for proving your identity in India, now comes in a smart size that fits into a card slot of a wallet like any other ATM or debit card.
The card will be reprinted on Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) card said Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) that issues the Aadhaar card.
UIDAI said in a tweet that you can now order the all-new Aadhaar PVC card, which has features like durability, attractive look, and the latest security features including a hologram, Guilloche pattern, ghost image, and micro text.
Moreover, the Aadhaar PVC card is completely weather-proof. UIDAI said, “With good quality printing and lamination, you can now bring it everywhere without having to worry about it being damaged, even by the rain.”
UIDAI Tweeted:
A fee of ₹50 will be charged for making this card.
