Aer Lingus has launched its summer 2021 flight schedule with direct flights to 12 North American cities including New York, Florida, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto.

All the routes have the airline’s flexible ‘Book with Confidence’ options, depending on the fare paid. These are to encourage bookings despite continued uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Smart and Plus fares allow free unlimited changes on all routes, while Advantage and Flex fares have a guaranteed voucher and cash refund option. Vouchers are valid for 5 years.

Flights to Ireland start from £25.99 each way and to the US and Canada from £189 each way, including taxes and charges.

Dave Shepherd, Aer Lingus Chief Commercial Officer, said: “Our Smart / Plus fares include a new feature so that customers can avail of a voucher up to 14 days before travel to any destination or within 14 days if a country’s travel guidance changes.” (This would happen if a country should move to red on the imminent EU Travel Framework.)

All UK customers flying to North America with Aer Lingus can pre-clear US Immigration and Customs in Dublin. This means they can land as domestic passengers on arrival, skipping queues.
