Hilton has opened its latest Hampton property in London, located on Uxbridge Road in Ealing.

The new-build Hampton by Hilton London Ealing is situated around half a mile from Ealing Broadway station, which is currently being upgraded and expanded as part of the Crossrail project. The hotel is also close to the 28-acre Grade II Walpole Park.

The property replaces two 1960s office buildings and offers 181 rooms, as well as a bar and restaurant fronting onto “a generous boulevard-style public realm”.

According to designer Dexter Moren Associates (DMA), the nine-storey hotel “is unified using a reconstituted stone frame incorporating an infill of three colours of zinc ‘fish tail’ shingles”.

“The combination of colours creates a subtle gradation of autumnal shades, similar in colour and tone to London stock bricks, and references the green open spaces of Ealing and the immediate context,” continued DMA.

The designer also said that the new development is “car free”, with a hard standing previously used for car parking space having been used to crate the new boulevard, “with refined paving and additional trees”.

Hampton by Hilton London Ealing joins existing London properties under the brand including Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo, Hampton by Hilton London Docklands, Hampton by Hilton London Croydon, and hotels at Gatwick, Luton and Stansted airports.

Hampton by Hilton London Park Royal is also set to open later this year, located next to Park Royal Underground station.

Commenting on the news Mark Wood, Partner at DMA, said:

“This project continues DMA’s experience in delivering the Hilton Hampton brand, following the successful completion and opening of our 297-bed Hampton by Hilton London Waterloo.

“This latest development, located bordering a leafy conservation area along the bustling Uxbridge Road, will help reinvigorate the area with a high-quality, elegant design and engaging streetscape.”
