Radisson Hotel Group has signed a new Master Franchise Agreement with Atlantica Hotels, covering all seven of Radisson’s brands in Brazil.

Atlantica was previously a licensee for the brands in the country, and currently operates 15 properties including the Radisson Blu Sao Paulo and Radisson Red Campinas.

The relationship will also see three new-build hotels being added by 2023 – the Radisson Hotel Flecheiras on Brazil’s northeastern coast (2022), the Radisson Hotel Sao Paulo, Pinheiros (2022), and the Radisson Red Porto Alegre (2023).

Eduardo Giestas, president and chief executive officer, Atlantica Hotels, said that the group had “aggressive development plans to build and open hotels in more cities throughout Brazil”, while Jim Alderman, chief executive officer, Americas, Radisson Hotel Group, commented:

“After 20 years supporting the growth of our brands in Brazil, I am thrilled we have the opportunity to extend our relationship with Eduardo and his fantastic team at Atlantica Hotels.

“Atlantica Hotels has brought our brands to life in vibrant cities throughout Brazil, playing a key role in our strategic growth plan for Latin America. We are excited for what’s to come as we continue our expansion and prepare to open three beautiful new hotels in gorgeous locations.”
