United Airlines will operate two new, nonstop services between India and the US.

The airline will fly daily between New Delhi and Chicago, starting in December 2020, and daily between Bengaluru and San Francisco, spring 2021 onwards.

United’s existing services on the India sector cover New Delhi and Mumbai to New York/Newark and New Delhi to San Francisco routes.

Marcel Fuchs, United’s managing director, International Sales said:

“These new nonstop services will strengthen our international route network and provide our customers from India with even greater travel choice and the possibility to connect via our hubs to destinations across the Americas.

“By introducing the first-ever nonstop service between the two international technology hubs, Bengaluru and San Francisco, we are proud to open up new opportunities for both business and leisure travellers.”

The carrier will deploy its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft on New Delhi-Chicago and Bengaluru-San Francisco routes.

The onboard safety and hygiene measures will be implemented as per the protocols issued under United Cleanplus programme.

The new routes are subject to government approval and tickets will be available for purchase on the airline’s website and the United app in the coming weeks.
