Singapore Airlines has announced a further easing of status requirements for its PPS Club and Krisflyer loyalty schemes in the light of the Covid-19.

Back in April the carrier moved to extend all membership statues for 12 months, covering all those whose membership was due to expire between March 2020 and February 2021.

And SIA has now gone one step further, by reducing the requirement to renew or attain status beyond March 2021.

The airline said “For memberships that expire between March 2021 and February 2022, SIA will credit 50 per cent of the PPS Value as Reserve Value or Elite miles required for renewal into the PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members’ accounts respectively”.

In addition, between now and October 15, 2020, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members can earn PPS Value or Elite miles on non-air spend and activities, with the values also counting towards membership status renewal.

Commenting on the news JoAnn Tan, acting senior vice president marketing planning, Singapore Airlines, said:

“We are very grateful to our PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite members, who have shown unwavering support for Singapore Airlines throughout this unprecedented crisis. By making it easier for them to renew their membership status, we hope to both allay their concerns and show our appreciation for their loyalty.”
