Sri Lankan Airlines is now operating flights to select destinations across the globe including London, Tokyo (Narita) and Melbourne.
This morning, the flag carrier of Sri Lanka took to social media to announce that it will also operate a special flight to Doha on August 14, 2020.
Under the new travel notification, Sri Lankan Airlines will connect Colombo with Frankfurt, London, Male, Zurich, Sydney, Paris, Narita, Milan and Melbourne. The flight schedule can be viewed here.
In an official statement, the airline said, “According to the travel restrictions imposed by the government of Sri Lanka (GoSL), passengers holding any visa type are not permitted for inbound travel to Sri Lanka unless they have specific approval from the GoSL.
“But passengers with immediate connections within 12 hours are allowed to transit via Colombo (CMB) – Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA).
“All outbound travellers need to ensure that they have valid visas and fulfil the entry requirements of the transit point as well.”
The airline has recently shared details about its safety measures:
