As per the latest travel directive by the Indian government, Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) cardholders, residing in the country with which an air bubble arrangement has been finalised, can now enter India.

Currently, India has bilateral travel agreements with countries including the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Germany and France.

Other foreign nationals from these countries can also avail Indian visa facility for business, medical and employment purposes, stated Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India in an official statement.

Furthermore, Indian citizens have also been allowed to travel to such countries (under air bubble arrangement) on any type of visa. However, travellers are advised to check if the destination country has any travel restrictions on Indian arrivals or not.

International commercial passenger services to and from India remain suspended. Until then, overseas air travel operations will be carried out under Vande Bharat Mission, India’s repatriation drive which is in its fifth phase at present and via air bubble agreements.
