Cathay Pacific has extended its initiative that allows passengers free and unlimited changes to flights until August 31 this year.

As part of the airline’s “Fly Worry Free” initiative, passengers can now make unlimited changes without an extra charge to all new tickets purchased up until the end of August.

Travellers can also exchange their tickets for Cathay Credits (equal to the the value of the original ticket) or cancel their booking with a full refund if their tickets were issued on or before March 23 this year, the airline says.

Travel must be completed within one year from the date of ticket issuance.

The airline will also launch “Cathay Care Kits” on August 10. These will be available on all outbound and inbound flights to Hong Kong. The kit includes an individually packed face mask, two antiseptic wipes, an information card and 70 per cent alcohol sanitiser.

Last month, the Cathay Pacific Group said it expects that its airlines will operate up to 10 per cent of the normal flight schedule this month and “will continue to assess the potential of increasing more flights and adding destinations” in the coming months.
