Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans for its first extended stay hotel in Western Europe.

The canal-front Radisson Hotel and Suites Amsterdam South will be located in Amstelveen to the south of the city, and is scheduled to open in early 2021.

The all-suite property will feature 227 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, all with fully-equipped kitchens, as well as a gym, on-site bar and restaurant with outdoor terrace seating, and underground parking.

The hotel is within walking distance of companies including KPMG, KLM and Canon, and is around 3km from the Zuidas central business district, 6km from the city centre, and 8km from Amsterdam Schiphol airport.

The property will be managed by Amsterdam-based Cycas Hospitality, becoming the group’s fifth hotel across Benelux.

Commenting on the news Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, said:

“We are proud to launch our first extended stay product in Western Europe, marking our 54th serviced apartment in EMEA.

“As an asset class, ‘extended stay’ has been increasingly resilient and relevant in recent times. We are delighted to be partnering with Cycas Hospitality in such a key European market as Amsterdam and look forward to welcoming our first guests together in early 2021.”
