Marriott International has launched a ‘Welcome Back’ offer, enticing local residents and overseas visitors to stay at its wide range of UAE properties.

Valid on bookings until September 30, the promotion offers Marriott Bonvoy members a 25 per cent discount on room rates, including complimentary breakfast, while non-members can take advantage of a 15 per cent discount.

Guests staying at one of the group’s luxury properties, including brands such as St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, The Ritz-Carlton and Edition, can benefit from a complimentary upgrade on all bookings until September 30, while Marriott Bonvoy members also receive an AED 200 (US$54) daily credit that can be used at outlets within the property.

Neal Jones, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa, Marriott International, thanked local authorities for their “amazing work” to safeguard public health and their ongoing guidance and collaboration to provide a safe and comfortable environment across all sectors, including hospitality and said the group looked forward to welcoming back residents and travellers.

Marriott was one of the first global hotel brands to announce its enhanced health and safety measures in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The group formed the Marriott Global Cleanliness Council, bringing together world-leading scientists, infectious disease specialists, microbiologists, hospitality professionals, food science and public health experts and water, hygiene and infection prevention solution providers to develop the “next level of global hospitality cleanliness standards” at the group’s hotels worldwide.

New measures already implemented including the use of electrostatic sprayers with hospital-grade disinfectant to sanitise surfaces and testing ultraviolet light technology to sanitise keys and other devices shared by guests and staff.
