Hyatt has announced plans for its first hotel in Cyprus, located in the southern coastal city of Limassol.

The Grand Hyatt Limassol is scheduled to open in 2025, and will be situated on Blue Flag beachfront space to the east of the city.

Features will include 300 rooms, five food and beverage outlets, a 4,000 sqm beach club with spa and fitness facilities, an indoor pool, and two further outdoor pools.

The hotel will be located around 30 minutes from Larnaca International airport, and will form part of the mixed-use Zaria Resort, which will also offer 80,000 sqm of residential apartments and private villas.

Earlier this month Intercontinental Hotels Group opened what it described as “the first and only branded boutique hotel in Cyprus”.

The 40-room Hotel Indigo Larnaca is located five minutes from the city’s airport, within walking distance of the beach, and close to the church of St Lazarus.

Commenting on the Grand Hyatt property, Alexander Iakovlev, director of investment and real estate development  company Anolia Holdings, said:

“We are thrilled to team-up with Hyatt on this development. The Grand Hyatt brand is synonymous with luxury and creating unique experiences for guests which remain authentic to the destination itself.

“In addition, given Limassol’s status as a financial capital of Cyprus, the hotel will not only attract leisure guests but may also prove popular for business travellers, conference-goers and event attendees. We are eager to see Grand Hyatt Limassol become the heart of the Zaria Resort development.”
