Meanwhile the Radisson Hotel President Beyazit Istanbul (pictured below) is located in Istanbul’s Old City, within walking distance of the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar, and features 201 rooms, five restaurants and bars, a health club with swimming pool, steam room and fitness centre, and six meetings and events spaces including a 370 sqm ballroom.

The additions bring Radisson Hotel Group’s Turkish portfolio to 30 properties and 4,500 rooms either in operation or under development, with the aim of growing to 50 hotels and 10,000 rooms within the next three to five years.

Last year the group opened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Vadistanbul, in an area to the north of the city currently undergoing industrial and residential regeneration.

Commenting on the news Yilmaz Yildirimlar, Radisson Hotel Group’s area senior vice president, Central & Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey, said:

“We are proud to open two new hotels in Istanbul’s most in-demand historic location. In addition to Istanbul’s unique cultural background and numerous attractions, our ongoing investment and expansion highlight Turkey’s importance as a key development market for Radisson Hotel Group. We look forward to further expanding our Turkish portfolio.”
