Intercontinental Hotels Group is to open a property under its growing Avid brand close to Boston Logan International airport.
The 104-room Avid hotel Boston Logan Airport Revere is located around five miles from the airport, and close to the city’s Rumney Marsh Reservation and Revere Beach.
Facilities include a fitness centre, complimentary continental breakfast, free wifi and a 24-hour marketplace. Reservations are current being accepted at the hotel from August 16.
The Boston property is one of six Avid hotels to have either recently opened or be scheduled to open in the US and Mexico in the coming weeks.
These include the 97-room Avid hotel Denver Airport Area, the Avid hotel Nashville – Lebanon, and the Avid hotel Fresnillo (which last month became the first Avid hotel in Mexico).
These hotels will be joined next month by the Boston property, and the 87-room Avid hotel Fort Worth – Fossil Creek.
The Avid brand was unveiled in September 2017, and has been designed to operate under a franchise model, comprising new-build properties offering a minimum of three floors.
IHG opened its first Avid property in summer 2018 in North Oklahoma City, and there are currently around a dozen hotels open, with 40 properties under construction and around 200 in the development pipeline.
In 2018 IHG announced an agreement to open 15 Avid properties in Germany, with the first confirmed location at Frankfurt airport.
