United Airlines service between Singapore and San Francisco via Hong Kong is scheduled to resume on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 (eastbound), the carrier said in a statement.

The service will allow customers in Singapore to visit the United States via Hong Kong, while offering nonstop service for customers travelling between Hong Kong and San Francisco, as well as between Hong Kong and Singapore.

United’s SIN-HKG-SFO route is operated by Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft which features 48 seats in United Polaris business class, 88 seats in United Economy Plus and 116 in economy class.

“As travel demand is set to gradually return and cargo demand between Asia and the US remains strong, United is excited to get back to reconnecting customers in our two major Asia Pacific markets of Hong Kong and Singapore with the prime US West Coast gateway of San Francisco,” said Marcel Fuchs, United’s managing director of international sales.

“The resumption of passenger flights, which reaffirms our long-term commitment to these two regions, comes with the additional reassurance of new United CleanPlus program, which priorities health and safety of our customers and employees whilst both in the air and on the ground,” he added.
