Emirates has announced a raft of additional route resumption for next month, bringing its post Covid-19 network to 48 cities.

Flights will resume to Khartoum on July 3, followed by Amman on July 5, Osaka on July 7, Tokyo Narita on July 8, and Athens, Larnaca and Rome on July 15.

The carrier has been gradually rebuilding its network over the last month or so, adding ten routes earlier this month to cities including Auckland, Barcelona and Washington DC.

This week Emirates also confirmed plans to resume A380 services to London and Paris – its first superjumbo flights since the onset of the coronavirus pandemic.

Dubai is set to reopen its doors to international visitors from July 7, with new protocols and conditions for citizens, residents and tourists.

Emirates itself has introduced a number of ground and inflight health and safety measures as services resume, including the distribution of complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all customers.
