Gulf Air announced in a tweet that it had resumed outbound flights from Pakistan, with the first flight from Islamabad taking place on May 31.
With seven destinations in Pakistan – Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan and Sialkot – the airline temporarily suspended all flights to the country on March 21.
Gulf Air also briefly suspended flights to the country last year, when Pakistan closed its airspace due to increased tensions with India.
On the website, tickets from Islamabad to Bahrain are able to be booked from June 2, at a price of PKR 216,915 (US$1,333.81), the price dropping to PKR 85,775 (US$527.43) on June 9.
Tickets from Islamabad to Dubai are able to be booked from June 16, at a price of PKR 62,405 (US$383.73).
Outbound flights from Middle East destinations are set to take place a few weeks later, with a one-way flight from Bahrain to Islamabad available to book only from July 1.
Tickets from Dubai to Islamabad are available to book one day earlier, from June 30.
The airline advises on its website that online check-in will be temporarily disabled, with passengers advised to arrive at the airport four hours before their departure and required to bring their own face masks and gloves.
