Air India has been playing a crucial role in India’s repatriation drive, Vande Bharat Mission. Simultaneously, the airline has also resumed domestic flight operations from May 25, under Civil Aviation Ministry’s recent directive.

As a part of this, the national carrier has announced that the domestic travellers who booked their tickets between March 23, 2020, and May 31, 2020, and have their flight cancelled due to the lockdown extension, will now be able to reschedule their flight tickets for the period from May 25, 2020, to August 24, 2020.

The airline also informed that there will be no extra rescheduling charge.

The airline said, “In case you require a change of route, only the re-routing charges will be waived but the applicable difference of fare will be charged. The above changes can be done through Air India call centre, Air India booking offices only and Authorised AI Travel agents.”

In other news, Air India will soon shift to direct ticketing to facilitate international bookings as well tweeted Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, minister of External Affairs.
