Jetblue has announced a number of changes to its Trueblue loyalty programme in the light of the current coronavirus crisis.

Holders of the scheme’s elite Mosaic status will see their benefits extended through 2021, and they will also be able to gift Mosaic status to another member of their choice.

Benefits of Mosaic status include no change or cancel fees, first and second bag free, early boarding and a free inflight alcoholic beverage.

The carrier has reduced the normal thresholds for reaching Mosaic status in 2020 – from 15,000 qualifying points in a calendar year to just 7,500.

Members can also reach the elite tier by reaching 6,000 qualifying points and 15 segments (instead of the normal 12,000 points and 30 segments).

On achieving Mosaic status members receive 15,000 bonus Trueblue points, but note that this does not apply to gifted statuses. Members must nominate their chosen gift recipient by June 1, and the elite status will run from June 15, 2020 to June 15, 2021.

In addition all bookings made by June 15 will earn double Trueblue base points, and Jetblue credit card holders will also receive double points on purchases until the same date.

Full terms and conditions for the above changes can be seen here.
