Aeroflot has published details of its voucher system for cancelled flights, along with discount offers to encourage customers to rebook.

Passengers will be able to apply for vouchers covering the cost of their fare “after the end of the current self-isolation regime in Russia, but not before May 15 at the earliest”, providing tickets were purchased before May 1 and were for travel:

  • to/from China from February 18 inclusive
  • to/from other international destinations from March 5 inclusive
  • on domestic routes from March 18 inclusive

The vouchers are valid for three years from the original date of travel, and note that the airline says that non-refundable tickets for non-cancelled flights are eligible for vouchers “if the passenger informed the airline of their intention not to travel ahead of time”.

To encourage customers to rebook using the vouchers, Aeroflot is also offering one-time discount of up to 25 per cent on a future booking.

Passengers holding standard tickets for cancelled flights will be given a 15 per cent discount on the cost of the ticket, while those holding Flex fare class tickets will benefit from a 25 per cent discount.
