Singapore Airlines (SIA) has extended its flight cancellations until the end of June in response to the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.

The announcement comes after the airline said last week that it would continue its flight suspensions until the end of May. The first round of flight cuts were announced in late March when the airline said it would cut 96% of its scheduled flights.

Singapore’s flag carrier will continue to only fly to 15 destinations until the end of June.

“SIA and SilkAir will continue to adjust our services in response to the Covid-19 outbreak,” the carrier said in a statement posted on its website.

Singapore Airlines will fly to following destinations in May and June:

  • Southeast Asia: Bangkok, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila
  • North Asia: Chongqing, Seoul, Shanghai, and Tokyo (Narita)
  • South West Pacific: Sydney
  • US: Los Angeles
  • Europe: London, Frankfurt, and Zurich

The carrier said customers whose flights were cancelled by SIA or SilkAir will retain the full value of the unused portion of their tickets as flight credits. They will also be awarded bonus flight credits when rebooking their travel. Bonus flight credits are awarded to customers who choose to retain their tickets as flight credits. SIA said customers receive bonus flight credits based on the cabin class that they were originally booked on.

The carrier added customers need to submit their rebooking requests in the Covid-19 assistance request form on the airline’s website when their new plans have been firmed up, and Singapore Airlines’ agents will contact them. Customers with tickets issued by travel agencies should contact their agents for assistance, the carrier said.

Singapore Airlines is offering complimentary rebooking for all SIA and SilkAir tickets issued between March 5 and June 30.
