Philippine Airlines will operate repatriation flights from New York to Manila on May 4 and May 6.

These New York to Manila flights will be allowed to carry only Filipino nationals/Philippine passport holders, their foreign spouses and children, and officials of foreign governments and international organisations, the carrier said in a statement posted on its website.

The flights will depart from New York (JFK) at 1915 local time on May 4 and May 6, and arrive in Manila (MNL) at 1145 on May 5 and May 7, according to the airline.

The carrier says passengers can book these flights either through its website, by calling a US Toll Free Number 1-800-435-9725, or through their travel agents.

Philippine Airlines also said those with unused PAL tickets can rebook on any of these flights without a rebooking charge and without having to pay any fare differences if they choose to fly in the same cabin class.

The airline has also cancelled all domestic and international flights until May 15 after the local government announced that it would extend its lockdown of Manila and other regions in the country in response to the ongoing coronavirus crisis.
