On April 21, India’s union minister of health and family welfare, Dr Harsh Vardhan launched the Covid India Seva, an interactive platform on Twitter aimed at providing real-time solutions to Covid-19 related queries.

So, now people across India can get their novel coronavirus disease doubts cleared by tweeting to @CovidIndiaSeva, a Twitter account by the ministry of health and family welfare, Government of India.

Vardhan announced on Twitter, “Launched @CovidIndiaSeva to respond to citizens’ queries in real time! Experts will share authoritative public health information reg #COVID-19 swiftly at scale, helping to build a direct channel for communication with citizens. Post your queries! #CovidIndiaSeva @PMOIndia.”

He also said, “Over time, Twitter has proved to be an essential service for both the government and citizens to interact and exchange information, especially in times of need. We are happy to make a concerted online effort by adopting the Twitter Seva solution,”

The statement said that Covid India Seva works off a dashboard at the backend that helps process large volumes of tweets convert them into resolvable tickets, and assigns them to the relevant authority for real-time resolution. People need not share personal details while raising COVID-19 queries on the Covid India Seva platform.

This dedicated account is accessible to everyone and gives the latest updates on Covid-19, measures adopted by the government, healthcare services offered among others.
