Indian ridesharing company, Ola has launched Ola CONNECTS (Comprehensive Navigation, Networking, control and tracking solution) that will assist Indian government and its agencies to manage real-time situations for various operations at scale amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
The platform can be used for emergency and healthcare support, supply chain management, law enforcement, frontline resource deployment, incident and information response, and war-room management amongst others.
Ola CONNECTS features navigation and real-time tracking, to trace millions of enrolled vehicles/people 24×7. User activity can be restricted to specific zones with alerting mechanisms on deviation through geofencing controls. There is real-time alert system and the crowd and flow management that will help in maintaining the social distancing norms. Additionally, AI-enabled Selfie Authentication will help the authorities to conduct random checks to ensure all preventive measures like usage of masks are being strictly adhered to.
Ola has already collaborated with the Punjab government for this tech solution.
