Radisson Hotel Group has announced plans for a beach resort property on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah.

The 389-room new-build hotel is expected to open in 2022, and will be the third property under the Radisson Hotels brand in the United Arab Emirates.

Located on the Jumeirah Shoreline, the Radisson Resort Dubai Palm Jumeirah will feature five food and drink outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant, and hotel bars with views of Dubai and the Gulf.

There will also be a fitness centre, spa, swimming pools and three meetings rooms.

A total of 23 properties are now either open or under development in the UAE across Radisson Hotel Group’s various brands.

In November the group opened the Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Canal View, situated in the city’s Business Bay.

Commenting on the news Elie Younes, executive vice president and chief development officer, Radisson Hotel Group, said:

“Radisson is a very compelling brand to all stakeholders, blending real estate efficiencies with guest relevance. We are excited to enter this new partnership and look forward to a successful journey with our partners based on trust and responsibility.”

The first hotel resort opened on Palm Jumeirah back in 2008, and there are now around 25 properties on the man-made island, including the Emerald Palace Kempinski Dubai, the Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah, and W Dubai – The Palm.
