Narendra Modi to address the nation today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to announce that he will address the nation today at 2000, on vital aspects relating to COVID-19 situation in India.

Earlier, on March 19, 2020, he addressed the nation where he urged citizens of India to take necessary precautions, asked everyone to stay indoors, stressed corporates to work from home among others. He even announced the self-imposed ‘Janta Curfew’ across the country.

Since then, several governments in India have been announcing strict restrictions in their respective regions. The chief minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal announced a complete shut down of the national capital; Chief minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray imposed entire curfew in the state; Indian Railways cancelling passenger train services; India suspending all domestic passenger flights among others.
