Plaza Premium has opened its first lounge at Sydney International Airport.
Hong Kong-based Plaza Premium Group already has lounges at Melbourne and Brisbane airports, and operates the Skyteam lounge at Sydney.
The new pay-to-enter facility is open from 0600 to 2200 and seats 70 people. It is located in Terminal 1 Departures opposite Gate 25, Pier B.
It was designed by Australian firm IA Design in birch and shades of green, and has floor-to-ceiling windows with runway views.

It offers food either from a self-service buffet or made-to-order, with breakfast served until 1130.
An afternoon tea is served from 1300 to 1600, and includes Sri Lankan tea by Dilmah, lemonade scones with whipped cream and jam, and smoked salmon and dill tart with lemon-infused beurre blanc.
AeroBar serves Australian beers, wines, cocktails, spirits, coffees, teas and milkshakes.

The lounge also offers “recharging pods” and shower facilities.
Access starts from US$45 for two hours, or US$32 for children aged between two and 11. A 30 per cent discount is available until May 30.
Plaza Premium Group is also due to open an Aerotel, its short-stay airport hotel brand, at Sydney International this year.
Recent openings for the group include a lounge at Dubai International and Aerotels at Heathrow T3 and the new Beijing Daxing International.
