Air France will launch a new route between Paris Charles de Gaulle and Chennai in South India on June 14, 2020.

The three-times weekly flights will be operated by a B787-9 Dreamliner with 228 seats in economy, 21 seats in premium economy and 30 seats in business.

AF108 will depart Paris at 1010 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, arriving in Chennai at 2330. AF107 will depart Chennai at 0105 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, landing at 0800.

Tickets will go on sale on March 2.

Air France currently flies to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore, as does KLM.

The Air France-KLM group said it will operate a total of 38 weekly flights to India this summer from its hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol.

ANA launched flights from Tokyo to Chennai in October last year.

Chennai is the state capital of Tamil Nadu, one of the largest of India’s southern states and the country’s second-largest state economy.
