Capital One will soon be offering its cardholders a perk long cherished by owners of American Express cards.

The credit card company recently announced that it will open its first premium lounge at Washington DC’s Dulles International airport.

The lounge is slated to open next year in the base of the airport’s former control tower, View from the Wing reports.

A statement from Capital One said:

“Capital One has won a bid to bring the bank’s first-ever airport lounge to customers travelling through Washington Dulles International airport – just miles from its own headquarters.

“When it opens next year, the lounge at the Dulles airport will be another way Capital One provides our customers unique travel benefits, along with exclusive access and experiences, in areas they are passionate about.”

The lounge is projected to cover 9,100 square feet of space, be located beyond the airport’s TSA security checkpoint, and be operated by the Turkish company TAV Airports, which also manages Prime Class lounges internationally.

Amenities are expected to include an observation deck, dining, work spaces, conference room, quiet room, workout room, showers, spa services, and a kids play room.
