El Al Israel Airlines has adjusted its flights to and from the Asia-Pacific region amid the recent coronavirus outbreak that began in the Chinese city of Wuhan.

Israel’s flag carrier has now extended the suspension of its Beijing and Hong Kong flights until May 2 this year. Previously, it announced that flights to Beijing would be suspended until April 24, and flights to Hong Kong would be cancelled until March 20.

As for its Bangkok services, El Al said its flights to Thailand will be temporarily suspended from March 2 to March 27, with the last flight from Tel Aviv to Bangkok departing on March 1 and the return service and from Bangkok to Tel Aviv departing on March 3.

The carrier initially planned to add a new Tokyo service from March 11 this year. The airline has now postponed the launch of the new service to April 4.

What’s more, El Al has also temporarily suspended flights to all destinations in Italy, including Milan, Venice, Rome and Naples on Sun d’Or, from February 28 until March 14.
