Wyndham Grand has launched its first Portuguese property in the Algarve.
The 132-room hotel is within the Quinta do Lago gated resort, near golf courses, the Ria Formosa Natural Park and Quinta do Lago beach. It was formerly operating as the Monte da Quinta.
It offers free wifi, a spa, gym, indoor and outdoor pools, and a sports campus.
An events complex has five venues with space for 400 guests, as well as outdoor spaces for conferences or weddings.

Its describes Wyndham Grand as its “upper-upscale” brand.
Last year, it debuted properties in the Georgian capital Tbilisi, the Croatian town of Novi Vinodolski, and the Greek island of Crete.
It also added properties in California, Mexico City, Kayseri in Turkey, and Cam Ranh in southern Vietnam.
Upcoming openings include St Kitts and Nevis, Barbados and Belize, as well as a dual-branded Wyndham Grand and Tryp by Wyndham in Miami.
Dimitris Manikis, Wyndham’s managing director for EMEA, said: “This stunning location in the Algarve is the perfect spot to introduce our iconic brand to Portugal.
“With over 20 million overnight stays recorded in the first eleven months of 2019 alone, the Algarve continues to attract more travellers and we are delighted to expand our collection in Portugal’s southernmost region.”
