Accor’s hotel brand Ibis Styles has opened a newly built property in Bekasi, Indonesia.

Located within the Grand Icon Complex in the west of Bekasi, Ibis Styles Bekasi Jatibening offers easy access to three major toll roads leading to Jakarta and the Bekasi industrial area. The hotel group said there is also a supermarket, restaurants and shopping centre nearby.

The hotel’s design draws inspirations from its surroundings and features “hip downtown living” designs with urban industrial touches.

The hotel offers 185 rooms, which come in superior, deluxe and family categories with sizes starting from 20 sqm. All rooms are equipped with a 43-inch LED TV and the brand’s signature “Sweet Bed”.

The hotel’s Streats restaurant is an all-day dining eatery, which offers both international and local cuisine available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. For meetings and events, there’s a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 600 guests, as well as four meeting rooms with natural lighting, wifi and audio-visual equipment.

Recreational options include a kid’s corner, an outdoor swimming pool, a gym and an in-room spa.

“The opening of Ibis Styles Bekasi Jatibening is a good addition to Accor’s economy brands in Indonesia. We are delighted to introduce our upbeat and stylish brand with an affordable price to the dynamic city of Bekasi and we look forward to playing a role in its rapid and exciting growth”, said Garth Simmons, chief operating officer, Accor Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and South Asia.

According to Accor, Bekasi, situated in the eastern suburb of Jakarta, serves as a commuter city within the Jakarta Metropolitan area. The hotel group also said Bekasi is now more than a residential area, and is experiencing a strong industrial and trade development.

Last year, Accor opened a new Swisshotel in North Jakarta, which marked the Swisshotel brand’s debut in Indonesia.
