Marriott has opened the eighth UK hotel under its budget brand Moxy in Southampton.
The 208-room new-build property is by the West Quay Shopping Centre near the city’s marina.
An industrial-style lobby features nautical décor and a co-working space. Guests will be given a complimentary cocktail on arrival, and the hotel says it will also provide “creative, social perks gifted randomly to guests daily”.
Rooms provide Muk toiletries, USB ports and free wifi.
The hotel has a 24-hour self-service food space including flatbreads, paninis, salad and antipasti. Drinks include cocktails, craft beers, wines and juices.
Prices start at £69 a room.
