Indigo has added Aizawl, the capital of Mizoram in northeastern India as its 62nd domestic and 85th overall destination. Starting from February 29, the Indian low-cost carrier will connect Aizawl with Guwahati in Assam and Agartala in Tripura.
With this, Mizoram becomes the sixth out of the eight northeastern states to be served by Indigo. The other five states under Indigo’s network are Assam (Guwahati), Nagaland (Dimapur), Manipur (Imphal), Tripura (Agartala), Meghalaya (Shillong).
The airline has launched 15 new flights including operations on six new regional connectivity routes including Gorakhpur -Prayagraj , Aizawl-Agartala and Varanasi -Bhubaneshwar.
Indigo will deploy its ATR aircraft on this sector.
