Accor is set to open two new properties in Leicester next month, under its Novotel and Aparthotel Adagio brands.
The adjacent new-build properties are located within the city’s Great Central Square development, opposite Highcross Shopping Centre, and are scheduled to open on January 16, 2020.
The 154-room Novotel Leicester is housed within a ten storey building and features a ground floor bar and restaurant, as well as a gym and five meeting spaces.
Meanwhile the six storey Adagio Aparthotel Leicester will offer 98 studio and one-bedroom apartments, each with full-fitted kitchens.
The mixed use Great Central Square development also comprises office space, and a bowling alley inside the city’s former Great Central Railway station.
The properties will join three existing Accor-branded hotels in Leicester – the Ibis Leicester City, the Ibis Budget Leicester, and the Mercure Leicester The Grand Hotel.
Aparthotels Adagio – a joint venture between Accor and the Pierre and Vacances Center Parcs Group – recently outlined plans to quadruple its UK portfolio over the next four years, including the opening of a 136-apartment hotel in London’s Stratford next year, and a 162-apartment property in Glasgow’s Saint Enoch in 2021.
