As Christmas decorations go, the new tree at Kempinski Hotel Bahia in Marbella has to be among the most extravagant around.
Created by designer Debbie Wingham, the tree is adorned with pink, red, white and black diamonds and other luxurious items.
It features jewellery from brands such as Bulgari, Cartier and Chanel refashioned into ornaments, as well as more traditional decorations (though even these feature a mix of materials including 24 carat gold, diamond dust and ostrich eggs).
The whole thing is worth a cool £11.9 million, which Kempinski says may make it the most expensive Christmas tree ever.
Guests and visitors can find it in the hotel’s lobby.
On December 28, the hotel will hold a cocktail and dining evening by chef David Fernandez, at which guests will play a game that may see them win a diamond valued at €2,000.
Rooms at the hotel start from £150 per night.
