Accor’s luxury brand, Sofitel Hotels and Resorts has announced its debut in Turkey with the opening of Sofitel Istanbul Taksim. The hotel is located in Taksim Square, a bustling entertainment hub of Istanbul.

Commenting on this new launch, Alexis Delaroff, chief operating officer, Accor New East Europe said, “We are excited to introduce the Sofitel brand to Turkey, a market where we want to drive further growth over the next three to five years. We believe that the addition of new luxury product into the city will serve as a key tourism driver, enticing travellers to explore one of Turkey’s most dynamic cities, while also delighting locals as a sophisticated and stylish destination for dining and entertainment.”

Sofitel has partnered with Turkey-based Tuna Group for this property that blends the hospitality brand’s French modern elegance with the cosmopolitan vibe of Istanbul.

There are 202 stylish guestrooms including 33 suites, each of which comes with Hermés products while all other guestrooms are equipped with Atelier Cologne bathroom amenities. Guests staying at Sofitel Istanbul Taksim will be able to enjoy stunning views of Taksim Square or the nearby Bosphorus strait. Club and suite guests have exclusive access to the property’s Club Millésime, with special services such as private check-in, personalised service, afternoon tea and treats among others.

In terms of F&B, they have the Oven, a European brasserie serving signature Turkish and French inspired dishes; Cake Box for French sweets and traditional Turkish classics; La Table, a breakfast and buffet venue, and The Lobby Bar for cocktail, coffee or light bites. There is also a rooftop bar and restaurant offering Turkish mezze and cocktails.

Book an appointment at the Sofitel Spa fitted with an indoor pool, seven treatment rooms, a traditional Turkish Hammam, steam room, sauna, and fully equipped fitness centre.

Meetings and events can be organised at one of the two ballrooms and three meeting rooms.
