Citizen M has announced three properties in its pipeline for 2020.

The Dutch hotel group will open its first hotel on the US west coast in Seattle in May, followed by its first Washington DC property in July.

It will also open its second Swiss hotel in Geneva in July.

The 264-room Citizen M Seattle South Lake Union, pictured above, will be located on Westlake Avenue. Rooms will have rain showers, iPads, TVs and Vitra furniture, while the hotel will offer 24-hour restaurant and four meeting rooms with natural light.

Citizen M Washington DC Capitol (below) will have 252 rooms and inhabit a mixed-use building with retail and residential space.

Guests will have access to eight large meeting rooms with an outdoor terrace and various break-out areas as well as a rooftop bar.

Citizen M Geneva Rue de Marche will join the Citizen M Zurich, which opened in August 2019.

The 144-room hotel is a refurbishment of an existing building and will feature a public space wrapped around an internal courtyard that keeps the property’s architectural features.

The launches will take Citizen M’s portfolio to 22 hotels across Europe, North America and Asia.

As well as Zurich, recent openings have included Boston and a third Amsterdam hotel.

The group has previously announced plans to open a new-build property in Victoria in 2021, its fourth London hotel.
