Staycity will have three properties open under its new Wilde Aparthotels portfolio by next month, with new additions in Berlin and Edinburgh.
The brand – which Staycity says is “inspired by the wit and irreverence of Irish playwright and poet Oscar Wilde” – debuted in London earlier this year.

A second property has now opened in Berlin, within a new development on the site of the “Checkpoint Charlie” berlin Wall crossing point.
The 48-apartment Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity, Berlin, Checkpoint Charlie, features one and two-bedroom apartment options, with “natural timber flooring, bespoke joinery, crafts, artwork and soft furnishings, 43-inch smart TVs, appliances from high end brands such as Smeg and Nespresso, as well as luxuriant Hypnos mattresses and Grohe rainfall showers”.
The new addition will be followed by a third property in Edinburgh in December, located at the foot of Edinburgh Castle and part of a mixed-use scheme comprising residential and commercial units, and student accommodation.
The Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity, Edinburgh, Grassmarket, will offer 128 studio, one and two-bedroom apartments, as well as a gym, guest lounge, and “Staycafe”.
Staycity said that the Wilde brand’s ethos was “based around the fusion of superior design with touches of the unexpected offering space for guests to escape, relax, cook and work in creative interiors”.
Commenting on the news Staycity Group CEO and co-founder Tom Walsh said:
“One of the key prerequisites for Wilde is that they’re central to the heart of the city. Both the Berlin and Edinburgh properties are in stunning locations with the best each city has to offer on their doorstep. It’s exciting to see the Wilde brand taking shape as we add to the estate.”
The group has also opened properties in Paris and Venice this year, as well as announcing forthcoming locations in Dublin, Berlin, London, Frankfurt and York.
