Anantara has opened a new property on Le Chaland beach along the south-eastern coast of Mauritius. A 10-minute drive from Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport, Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort and Villas features design elements inspired by the rich heritage of the capital Port Louis.  The use of volcanic stone, basalt, drift wood crafted by local artisans can be seen across the property.

Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort and Villas offers 164 guestrooms and suites. The rooms and suites come with a bedroom, a bathroom with a rain shower and separate bathtub, and a terrace or balcony  overlooking either the tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean. In addition to this, there will be eight luxury villas, set to launch next year.

F&B options include Sea.Fire.Salt for seafood delights, Bon Manzer for healthy and organic meals, Horizon for European, Chinese, Indian and African cuisine. Unwind at Karokan Poolside Bar with some tropical beverages, beers and fine wines.

Keeping sustainability at the core of its overall functioning, the resort offers 30-metre ozone-based swimming pool. Along with this, solar technology is used for water heating in all guestrooms, endemic flora is present within the hotel landscaping, water is reused for irrigation and cleaning and there is zero use of plastic straws across the resort.
